I migliori album del 2018, parte prima: i Dischi Caldi

Come da tradizione popolare, tramandata sin dalle origini della specie in quel di blogger, anche quest'anno si parte con la classifica dei migliori dischi dell'annata appena conclusa. Anche questa volta ho diviso l'elenco in due parti. Si comincia con i Dischi Caldi, ovvero quegli album che si vanno a piazzare giusto a ridosso della Top Ten. Seguirà a breve l'elenco dei magnifici dieci (beh, forse qualcuno in più).

Per quanto riguarda la classifica di oggi non necessariamente si tratta di dischi meno belli rispetto ai primi dieci (che poi, come dicevo, dieci non sono). Anzi spesso, molto spesso, con il passare del tempo mi sono dovuto ricredere in più di un'occasione e molti "dischi caldi" delle passate stagioni sono diventati "bollenti" a forza di ascolti, ma non abbastanza velocemente per arrivare in tempo nella Top Ten. Anche quest'anno accadrà lo stesso. È inevitabile. Purtroppo non ho abbastanza tempo a disposizione per poter dedicare un ascolto intensivo a ogni disco.

In ogni caso già in questa prima parte della classifica del 2018 si possono trovare delle vere e proprie leccornie per i propri timpani, tanto buon rock in grado di allietare gli ascolti quotidiani di ogni buon fruitore di musica indipendente. Alcuni sono più adatti alla mattina dopo il risveglio, per dare la giusta carica, altri si sposano meglio con il relax post prandiale del primo pomeriggio e altri ancora prediligono il crepuscolo o anche le tenebre più fitte per dare il meglio di sé.

Come sempre le mie preferenze spaziano dal punk al metal, passando per l'indie, l'elettronica, il post punk e il rock (quasi) tradizionale. Purtroppo le mie tare genetiche mi portano a ottenere questi minestroni sonori indigesti e indecifrabili: non penso che si possano trovare molte classifiche di fine anno (o meglio di inizio anno, in questo caso) dove convivono pacificamente dischi black metal, pop, sludge, shoegaze, crust, elettronica e punk rock. Tanto per intenderci non credo proprio che si possa trovare un altro elenco di questo tipo dove ci siano insieme gli Editors e i Judas Priest. 

Comunque anche nel 2018 sono stati tanti i dischi italiani degni di nota. In questa prima parte della classifica fanno bella mostra di sé gli Storm(o), A Silent Mirror, i Colonelli, Eradius, The Coventry, Ginevra e Zeffjack. Da segnalare anche la nutrita presenza di band russe che non mancano mai nelle mie classifiche come nei miei ascolti quotidiani.

Per concludere vorrei segnalare la presenza di qualche "big" in questa selva di nomi decisamente molto underground: il grande ritorno degli immensi Judas Priest, prima di tutti, poi gli Editors, i Monster Magnet e i magnifici Deicide.

Tra qualche giorno, per la gioia di grandi e piccini, pubblicherò la Top Ten...
