Black wave: altri 100 dischi dark-wave, post-punk per condire la notte

Questa è la seconda parte del viaggio nei territori oscuri e malsani del dark e i suoi mille volti, per scoprire (o riscoprire) altri 100 album diversi come sonorità, attitudine, provenienza geografica e annata, ma caratterizzati dal colore nero e dal fascino sinistro e decadente.

Questi 100 dischi, probabilmente, non sono né i migliori né i più rappresentativi della dark-wave nel pianeta terra, ma se riuniti agli altri 92 che popolano il post “dead souls” possono rappresentare una buona base da cui cominciare ad approfondire la conoscenza del genere e delle sue numerose varianti.

Ci sono album e gruppi storici e anche band nuove e promettenti (O.Children, Veil Veil Vanish ad esempio), dischi rari (i Syria, da non confondere con la cantante italiana, ovviamente, né con l’omonima nazione, o i Chamber).

Le varianti e variabili prese in considerazione spaziano dal gothic rock, alle apocalittiche pulsioni del neo-folk, alle tenebrose trame strumentali del dark ambient, all’EBM, all’electro-dark, al death-rock, alle contaminazioni con la musica classica e sacra (Attrition, Elend, Helium Vola), al pop oscuro, all’indie-rock più cupo o a strani incroci con il metal alternativo nel profondo underground.

Ci sono gruppi inglesi, tedeschi, americani, italici (Frozen Autumn, Chants of Maldoror, Diniego, Monumentum, Canaan) e di altre terre.

Un suono scuro, romantico e tenebroso in alcuni casi vigoroso e potente, in altri malinconico e delicato o ancora freddo e glaciale.
